Evan Husney

Minneapolis-born Evan Husney began in professional entertainment at the age of 11, helping his promoter/manager father A&R albums that included a polka compilation curated by satirist “Weird Al” Yankovic, and several discs for the famed ‘as seen on TV’ label K-Tel Records. Many years later and together with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema CEO Tim League, Husney co-founded the highly curated film distribution label Drafthouse Films and served as the company's Creative Director where he oversaw the release of Oscar® nominated THE ACT OF KILLING and BULLHEAD. In 2014, Husney joined global media brand VICE and VICE Films overseeing all entertainment marketing initiatives, including the Cannes Lion® award-winning international campaign for 20th Century Fox's DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, and film production projects. In 2015, Husney transitioned into the role of Producer at VICE where he produced and directed two television series for Viceland including "Outsider" and the buzzy "Dark Side of the Ring," which scored glowing reviews, pulled in one of the TV network's biggest audiences to date and an endorsement from Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. He is currently developing film and television projects with several partners.
